Fit's this MOPN all about?

MOPN was created with a simple idea: Scottish youth deserve a brand that represents who they are.

For too long, Scottish identity in fashion has been associated with tradition or stereotypes. We wanted to take the heritage, craftsmanship, and materials that make Scotland unique and blend them with modern streetwear culture to create something fresh.

By collaborating with Scottish designers and incorporating Scottish materials, MOPN aims to redefine what Scottish fashion looks like for the next generation.

This is more than just clothing, it’s a movement built around pride, identity, and culture. A brand for young Scots to wear with confidence, both at home and around the world.

About me

Hi, I’m George, the founder of MOPN.

My journey into fashion began when I was 15. At school, where uniforms left little room for individuality, I noticed a close friend wearing a Supreme x Comme des Garçons collaboration featuring a tartan hood. It was a small act of rebellion and self-expression, but it sparked something much bigger — a fascination with how clothing can tell stories, represent identity, and challenge tradition.

From that moment, my passion for fashion, business, and Scottish culture continued to grow. Now, at the grand old age of 26, I’ve finally taken the leap and turned a lifelong ambition into reality by creating MOPN.

MOPN was built on the belief that Scottish heritage and modern streetwear can exist together in a completely new way. My goal is to create a brand that young people in Scotland can wear with pride — combining contemporary design with Scottish materials, creativity, and craftsmanship to redefine what Scottish fashion can look like.

Beyond clothing, I have a huge passion for photography and videography. These skills allow me to personally capture the vision behind MOPN, from creative concepts to campaigns, helping build a visual identity that truly represents the culture and community I want the brand to embody.

The name MOPN (My Old Phone Number) came from an unexpected moment while I was working in a click and collect department. A system error caused parcels to arrive with strange placeholder names such as “My Card” and “My Old Phone Number”. Something about the name stuck with me, it was unusual, memorable, and different, so I ran with it.

MOPN is still at the beginning of its journey, but my ambition is to see Scottish streetwear receive the recognition it deserves, both at home and across the world.

Thanks for being part of the journey.
